When we broaden our creative horizons, we strengthen our quality of work and life. We seek to create collaborative programs, workshops, productions and performances intended to lead to a number of other opportunities for these artist-in-residence that enrich Austin’s cultural arts scene. Cross-disciplinary artistic collaboration excites new artistic and professional opportunities for the artist and for the community in extraordinary ways. As the Austin cultural and art scene continues to skyrocket to international status and our community continues to atract artists, executives, tourists and art lovers from all over the world, such programs are more important then ever. Our Artists Exchange and Residency inspires the Austin art scene by infusing our conversation with creative minds from outside working side by side with Austin-based artists, and vice-versa. The collaboration feeds the continuous momentum of creative force in this city and allows us to continue to compete on an international scale.
VISION & PROCESS Since the launch of our Mentoring and Artist Exchange Program in 2009, over 200 artists, corporate sponsors and volunteers have participated in the programming. Thanks to the support of the Tito’s Arts Exchange we were able to kickstart 2011 artHUB: 8-bit: SIGHTS, MOVEMENT & SOUNDS FESTIVAL.
Details of new works scheduled for 2013 coming soon…
