Listed as one of the “top nine of ’09” by the Austin Chronicle, this crew of 12 artists and performers has been nominated and/or received over 15 ACOT and B. Iden Payne awards for their work while in Austin. Now they’ve assembled to focus their talents on one of the oldest love stories of all time; God meets girl, God gets girl, God loses girl and gets her back again only this time they’ve added a few new twists.
The show, originally called The Psyche Project, was generated by an ensemble of theater-makers at The University of Texas at Austin, for the David Cohen New Works Festival where it was voted the best of the Festival. It was then produced by UT for their main stage season to sold out houses and was praised by Robert Faires as, dissecting love, “…with a satiric edge sharper than a ginsu knife.” For this re-mount they have added an original score composed just for them by Mother Falcon, one of the most talked about bands at last years SxSW festival, plus a new look created by award winning designer Sonja Raney.
